Santa Barbara High School celebrated its 100th birthday in 1975. The Centennial Committee was the transition group that went on to form the present-day Santa Barbara High School Alumni Association. The Santa Barbara High School Alumni Association was founded in 1975 with two primary objectives:
To advance and protect the interests and welfare of Santa Barbara High School, its students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
To promote fellowship among former students and other supporters of Santa Barbara High School.
When we began in 1975 our oldest member was Miss Pearl Chase from the class of 1904 and we had three members from the class of 1910. Currently we have over 4,000 members.
The cost to join the Santa Barbara High School Alumni Association is $40 for a lifetime ($60 for couples). Members receive one copy of Noticias, our twice yearly Alumni Newsletter, and are kept updated on events connected to Santa Barbara High School. Membership funds are used to support Board costs and projects.
